We want you to be pleased with your order because we will only be successful if you become a regular customer. Therefore it is important that you know the terms we do business by.
- Payment: There are no open accounts; all payments made with major credit card, or you may make pre-payment with a certified check or Postal Money Order. Goods will only be shipped after the check has cleared.
- Questions regarding charges : Orders are processed electronically, if you have a problem or question, send email to sales@shopmebaby.com andcall 1-914-762-1815 and speak with someone so that we may interrupt the process. Please deal with us first before calling your credit card company.
- Damaged goods: We accept no responsibility for damage. All merchandise is carefully inspected and packed before shipment. All orders are insured, except for the those small items that are shipped First Class Mail marked "postage included." In case of damage in shipping the customer must recover through insurance via shipping carrier: keep ALL original packaging until inspection is done and until you are told you may discard it by the shipping company.
- Shipping: Those orders shipped by Digital Quill to the address specified on the order by customer are shipped UPS or Priority Mail FOB one of our warehouses. Many products are shipped by the manufacturer or importer FOB their location (continental USA or CANADA), their carrier may vary. Customer is responsible for all shipping costs; including and especially when they provide us with an incorrect address.
- Packaging/Handling fee: In an effort to give you good value and assurance of undamaged goods, we have chosen to ship the items that we ourselves ship via UPS or United States Postal Service Priority Mail. These shipping methods will get you your goods in a timely fashion, and your package will be treated with respect. Our part in getting your goods to you undamaged is in packing it properly. Many of the items we handle, while being heavy, as the cast iron is, or stiff as the tin signs, at the same time are fragile and can be damaged if dropped, smashed or bent. Therefore, we package them well, and this adds shipping weight as well as expense. Obviously, not every item needs the maximum added protection that others require, so packaging costs differ. For most orders a $4.00 to $6.50 fee is added. There are however products like statues and large electronics that demand an extreme effort, and those products have a higher fee attached; in most cases this is extra fee is indicated, but common sense must prevail over an oversight on our part to indicate it.
- Return policy: Returns accepted within 14 days of your receipt at a 30% restocking fee; customer is responsible for all shipping and handling charges. We do not accept returns on custom items.
- There are no exceptions to these terms.
